The Santa Monica Pier, is a place we are all very familiarised with, thanks to the well-known video game, GTA. Thanks to this summer camp, we have had the opportunity to visit it. We also got the opportunity to ride fun attractions at the Santa Monica pier, such as the Ferris wheel or the great roller coaster. We also got the chance to take great photos at the little harbour and some others at many other popular sites. We even got to go and saw the majestic beach on Angelina coast.
Us, be it Dani, Lucas, Mario, Roberto, Luis Roldán, Luis Ruiz, Ramón, Lluc, Pablo, and Arnau, decided to spend the day at Santa Monica Pier. Upon arrival, our first stop was the end of the pier where we took some great photos, capturing the amazing views and some special moments we lived. We enjoyed the brightness of the sun, the ocean breeze, and the lively atmosphere, which set the perfect backdrop for our adventure.
After that, we headed towards the attractions’ area and took even some more photos. The colorful rides and the laughter of the people around us, made the experience amazing. We spent some time just enjoying the sights and sounds, feeling like kids again.
We then wandered into a souvenir shop and met a friendly Spanish guy, our cousin Julio, who works there. Chatting with him was fun, and we ended up buying a few souvenirs, so as to make them become symbols of our stay in the USA. The shop was filled with all sorts of interesting gifts, and each of us found something unique to take back home. As we left the shop, we were all excited about the new treasures we had found.
As the day drew on, we grabbed a quick bite to eat for dinner at a fast-food stall. The classic burgers really hit the spot after a day full of walking and exploring. We sat together, as we ate and shared stories, while other students were busy, buying roses for our teachers, adding a romantic touch to the evening.
Despite the crowd, which made it difficult to take nice photos, the experience of the bustling pier was unique. The mix of tourists and locals, the smell of the sea, and the sound of waves crashing created a special ambiance.
Overall, the day was filled with fun, laughter, and memorable moments at Santa Monica Pier. It’s a place that combines beautiful views, lively attractions, and interesting encounters, making it a perfect spot for a group, going on an adventure we had always wanted to have.
Our trip to santa monica was outstanding and we had a very good time; we all finally got to visit a place where we all had wanted to be, once in a lifetime. We finally got to live our dream.
