My name is Patricia and I had an amazing and unforgettable experience at BlackRock college in Ireland. It is a school where we have English classes in the morning and fun, interesting activities in the afternoon that allow us to explore new things and enjoy our time. It has been a great opportunity not only to learn and practise English in a real context but also to enjoy many new and exciting experiences that I will always remember.
Every morning, we go to English lessons at the school, where we are encouraged to speak, listen, and interact in different ways. The classes are very interesting and extremely helpful, especially for improving speaking and listening skills, which are very important when learning a new language. My teacher is very friendly, patient, and always tries to help me and my classmates with anything we don’t understand, which makes the lessons a lot better and easier to enjoy. I feel more confident speaking English thanks to these lessons.
In the afternoons, we take part in different kinds of activities that are both fun and educational. One of my favourites has been the STEAM workshop, where we explored science, technology, engineering, art, and maths in different creative ways. I also really enjoyed vlogging — we learned how to film and edit videos using cameras and apps, which was very fun to do with my friends as we worked in teams.
We also went on some exciting and unforgettable excursions. For example, we visited Dublin, which is a beautiful city full of history and interesting places. One of the best moments was our visit to Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, where we learned more about Irish culture, architecture, and history. I loved walking through the city and discovering more about how people live in Ireland.
What made this week even more special was the people I met. I made a lot of new friends from different countries and cultures. We shared many things, helped each other with English and activities, and created unforgettable memories together. It’s been wonderful to be part of such a friendly and fun group of people.
I really enjoyed my stay at BlackRock. The activities were excellent, and I feel like I’ve learned a lot — not only English but also about teamwork, creativity, and Irish culture. I will never forget this amazing experience that has taught me so much.
